Some paint strippers may work as well to loosen the construction adhesive to a point where the material can be removed without damage. Step 2 dampen a clean rag in mineral spirits paint thinner or caulk and adhesive remover. Most adhesives and caulks can be scraped off when they are softened. There are a few ways to remove construction adhesive after you bonded two materials together.

Do the scrapping only while the surface is hot. Some adhesives can be loosened using acetone. Use a razor blade or putty knife to scrape away any large clumps of pl400 construction adhesive. But first test it on an out of the way spot to see if it will damage the material.

Best method so far. After cutting a length of wire about 3 feet long you wrap it around your gloved fingers work it under the glue and use a sawing motion to separate the glue from the brick. If so scrape the substance off quickly before it re hardens.
